The Golden Monocle Awards
The Golden Monocle Award is presented to the cast member (or members) who – in a flash of clear thinking and/or improvisational genius – manages to cover for a set crisis, prop or costume malfunction, dropped line or other disaster, while remaining in character and forwarding the action of the play.
The story of the Golden Monocle’s creation will be recalled here in a future post. It’s a good story.
